There is even a secret tequila bar by Don Julio 1942 that holds about 10 people behind an agave-shaped door, and features performances by musician Fleur De Mur.
Other marquees include Lexus, Penfolds, TAB, Furphy, Schweppes and Crown Melbourne.
“The Birdcage represents the very essence of the Melbourne Cup carnival,” VRC chief executive Steve Rosich said.

Tickets to the enclosure are $495 per person but it’s too late to snag a spot — the Birdcage is sold out for every day of the Cup carnival.
Derby Day will be the first of the key races this weekend, followed by the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday, Oaks Day on Thursday and Stakes Day the following Saturday.
